Delivery Terms
Standard Delivery
will be by courier or Royal Mail recorded delivery depending upon the
size/weight of the consignment and will normally take 2-3 working days.
Orders
received by us before 4pm for items that we have in stock and that have
been requested for next day delivery will be dispatched on the same
day. We do not export. All deliveries must be signed for.
It
is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that someone will be
available at the delivery address to accept delivery however if there
is no-one there when they try to deliver the courier/Royal Mail should
leave their details and it is your responsibility to contact them as
soon as possible to rearrange.
For obvious security reasons the parcel
can only be delivered to the address as processed, or in the case of
Royal Mail, collected with the relevant paperwork so no attempt should
be made to arrange an alternative delivery point. Any consignment not
delivered within a few days may be returned to us & the purchaser
will be responsible for outgoing and return carriage charges so any
refund made will be less these amounts. If you are ordering on behalf of a business
or you wish to have your order delivered to your work address and you
work within a large organisation, please be aware that it may not be
feasible for the courier to bring the parcel directly to you. The
parcel may be left with goods in, the post room or the reception area
where the courier will obtain a signature for your order. To avoid
confusion please only arrange delivery to your work place once you have
confirmed that the above is acceptable.
We do not offer free delivery, as we believe that any company that
offers free delivery will have built a delivery cost into the price of
the product. We also believe in giving you the customer a choice when
it comes to delivery e.g. is price/urgency important, as we know “free”
delivery often uses the cheapest/slowest method & this may not be
what you require. You can select the delivery service you need in the
basket. The delivery charges
endeavour to take into account the total value, weight and bulk of
whatever you purchase and whilst we try to make this as accurate as
possible please note an individual consignment may have cost more or
less than we charged you, dependant on product availability and the
courier/delivery method used. We aim to cover the overall cost of our delivery and packing service and no more,
which can make bulk buying more cost effective than several single
orders e.g. 4 ink cartridges would cost you less in carriage than
ordering them on 4 individual occasions.
We cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by Royal Mail and/or
other courier services but do find the vast majority of shipments are
delivered within the relevant consignment period. Unfortunately we
cannot guarantee the use of any particular carrier/delivery company.
When we send goods directly from our supplier/manufacturer, which is
something we do occasionally, then the delivery company used will be
the one used by the supplier/manufacturer in question. The delivery service (delivery & packing) costs given on the site is for UK mainland only. We cannot accept and process orders for invoice or delivery outside of the UK. In some instances we may be able do so for Republic of Ireland/Eire
but this would depend upon the size/nature of the order.
Please contact
us before placing such an order for details & delivery costs and
note we cannot offer next day service to any part of Ireland/Eire. Some Highland & Island
postcodes may have a delivery surcharge or may be subject to a longer
delivery time. This will be advised before we ship with an option to
cancel or you can ring before submitting your details on the site.
Please note in line with current Customs & Excise Regulations delivery charges are subject to VAT. What happens if an order arrives with a shortage or incorrect item?
If
you have a queries on what has been delivered please contact us as soon
as possible giving your details together with the number of parcels
received and what item is missing or incorrect. We will check it out
immediately with our despatch team and/or couriers so we can rectify
the problem.
